Greek Food Festival

Greek Food FestivalEach year patrons from our surrounding communities visit our parish in Oakmont/Verona during the last weekend of June for our annual Greek Food Festival. For over 40 years, this parish tradition continues to be one of the most popular Greek Food Festivals in the Pittsburgh area.

Annually, our Greek Food Festival is held on the last full weekend that occurs in June (the last Friday, Saturday and Sunday that all occur in June). There is always plenty of authentic Greek Food and Pastries, along with live music and dance performances late afternoon and evenings. Please see our flyer, listed below for more information.

In Greece, a panayiti (festival) consists of good food, drink, music and dancing. Our Festival is an opportunity for us to share our ethnic heritage with our local community. It is a chance for us to come together and enjoy some good food and traditional live music and ethnic dancing.

Members of our parish begin making preparations for our Festival each year in January. These preparations includes many hours of meetings, coordinating, food preparation and setting up to ensure that each year’s festival is a success.

We would like to thank those in the surrounding areas for attending the festival each year — you help to make our festival a success. Our annual festival is an important part of our church — we are proud to be able to provide this event to our community.

Food Festival inquires can be made using the email listed on our Contact page.
